Get Your Greens Smoothie

What a great way to start you day . . . getting your greens in from the get-go. Smoothies are now my breakfast of choice — they’re quick & easy, and I can throw in anything I like. Plus I can take it in the car when I’m really late. My kids have one on occasion — but more importantly I think it’s important that they see me making my health a priority every day.

Recipe:

1 1/2 cups of almond milk, rice milk or skim

1 1/2 cups of spinach (buy it loose — not in those clam shell packages)

1 1/2 cups of frozen cherries or berries (I use the mixed berries from WF)

agave to taste

scoop of protein (optional)

take with flax seed oil capsules or fish oil capsules

Method:

Throw ingredients in blender with a little ice — drink immediately.
