I love to give peanut brittle as holiday gifts to my neighbors and as hostess gifts. I get more compliments on how “professional” it tastes. Of course it’s from my girl, Martha. I’ve been really debating on sharing this one, because it is that good. Oh well, here it is:
I use good old-fashioned Planter’s roasted, salted nuts and Karo syrup — the salt is key. Don’t step away from the stove for a second. Stay and stir constantly with a wooden spoon. Once finished cooking, I put the hot, molten brittle on a cookie sheet to harden. Once it’s hard, you just twist the cookie sheet and the brittle just pops out. So yummy and impossible to stop eating!
Enjoy, and Merry Christma!
